Nuance Energy Appoints Jimmy Ryan, Chief Operating Officer, Expands Senior Management Team to Address New North American Markets.

SAN RAMON, Calif., June 15, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nuance Energy, manufacturer of the Osprey PowerPlatform® and a developer of distributed solar energy projects, has announced the appointment of Jimmy Ryan as chief operating officer. The company also has expanded its senior management team to support the company’s accelerated growth plans adding two senior management posts including Stelli Munnis, senior director of marketing, and Brad Thomas, senior project manager.

Ryan will be responsible for staffing, resource allocation, cost reductions, supply chain management and EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) activities. He joins Nuance Energy after a career-long focus on scaling businesses and delivering consistently strong financial results.

“Nuance Energy’s technology is uniquely innovative and path-breaking in its potential to make a great impact in the solar industry and I am excited to be a part of the company’s growth story,” said Ryan.

Munnis is a B2B marketing and sales professional with ten years of experience in solar marketing.  She will oversee the company’s brand communications and integrated marketing efforts worldwide. Prior to joining Nuance Energy, Munnis was responsible for growing pipeline and profitability in the commercial business unit at SunPower Corporation.

A seasoned project manager, Thomas brings over 25 years of experience in construction and related operations. His body of work includes construction management, project management and operations management, and he has been involved in projects ranging in scale from $100k to $450M.

“Jimmy is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of national and international experience in strategic planning and growth, and Stelli and Brad have proven track records in the solar industry,” said Brian C. Boguess, Nuance Energy co-founder and CEO.  “The combination of Jimmy’s experience in scaling businesses, Stelli’s expertise in solar marketing and Brad’s top-notch project management skills will help us revolutionize the solar industry with our breakthrough technology as we continue to expand our operations in newer markets across North America.”

“Innovation in cleantech is essential to driving solar adoption worldwide,” Thomas said.  Working with a group of people who are not afraid to be bold and disruptive and have a sense of urgency that ‘now is the time to act’ is what drew me to the company.  The culture at Nuance Energy continuously challenges the status quo and we are not afraid to ask the really hard questions like ‘Why not? and How can I?’.”

Nuance Energy’s Osprey PowerPlatform is a solar racking system that applies patent-pending technology to afford numerous, breakthrough advantages in ground-mount solar, including simplified engineering, adding modularity to procurement and installation processes, and dramatically reducing construction costs and time.
